High-odds football predictions this weekend
We are heading to the Serbian capital of Belgrade where Red Star will host PSV in a match from the Champions League’s league stage. Stay with us and our High-odds football predictions this weekend.
Far from surprising, but Red Star are not among the best teams in the competition this season. The Serbians are 31st in the standings with just 3 points won since the beginning of the season. Vladan Milojevic’s team can hardly qualify for the next round, but they can play for their own reputation now.
Because of the long pause in the Serbian league, Red Star will play their first official game since December 22. They played few friendly matches and won them all, but it’s very different when it comes to the level of the Champions League.
Pape Cherif Ndiaye is Red Star’s top scorer since the beginning of the season. The Senegalese striker has 13 league goals since the start of the campaign.
PSV are barely holding their place in Top 24 of the league stage which allows a place in the playoffs of the competitions. The Dutch giants are dominating in the Eredivisie, but they are facing some difficulties in Europe. They have a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses which means they have 8 points in their record.
Just a few days before the visit to Belgrade, PSV surprisingly suffered a 1-3 defeat against PEC Zwolle in the Dutch league. The Belgian international Johan Bakayoko scored for the visiting team, but Zwolle turned out to be better on this day.
Despite the defeat in the Eredivisie last weekend, PSV remain favorites to win against Red Star – even in Belgrade. The Dutch team is the better one and they need the points here. Let’s see if the Serbians can make a stand, though – their fans are passionate and they could help them.
